It’s Been a Minute

The clock’s having its way with me.

Today was a blur. I got up to do the things, after a very long night of tending to Bolt. First he wanted out after we had already all gone to bed. He was eager, and he lost his balance on the way out the door on the hardwood floor. Of course it freaked him out, so then he was all into the bamboo, eating it to settle his guts. Of course he was too upset and dizzy to puke, so he took a pee and came back in. An hour later, back out for a poop. Then, 1:30 this morning – time to puke.

Then we slept.

We all got out, sans Lu of course, to walk the trail. Cindy is still struggling with this chest cold. She’s gonna cough up a lung here any moment now. It’s a freaky respiratory virus. She has these asthmatic like attacks. Loads of phlegm. But she’s getting better, and we all got out and walked. It was a welcome moment.

And I expect to see you bounding up the trail ahead of us Lu. Your absence draws color from the moments. You’re missed exquisitely.
